I purchased this from Woot in June and have used it indoors and outdoors. The long zoom is great. Just changed the batteries for the first time. I use Eneloop rechargeables available at Amazon. Unlike most rechargeables, they don’t lose (much) power in storage. My only concern is that the door to the battery and card compartment is flimsy and awkward to close. Just be careful while doing it. For what it offers, you can’t beat the price. If it dies, throw it away.

I bought Eneloop rechargeable also for both my Kodak cameras. They are great.
