Can someone explain how this watch monitors blood pressure? I don’t see how it would be able to measure BP on this device. Do you need a third party device to link it to? If so, which one(s)?
“Health monitoring, the smart watch supports 7/24 heart rate monitoring, blood pressure, blood oxygen and sleep monitoring.”
Not sure about the technical details, but smart watches do a fair job with these heath monitoring functions. Blood pressure readings, Oximetry/O2 saturation, heart rate, number of steps, sleep monitoring, etc are usually surprisingly accurate at a basic level.
To check for accuracy, measure the watch readings with reliable devices before you trust the measurements. For example test the watch the next time you have a doctor’s appointment with their measurements. It is good to know if the BP readings are off by 10 mm, this difference can be considered when using the measurements. No additional equipment is needed for the watch to measure BP, heart rate, O2 saturation, sleep monitoring.
The storage of readings, depth of analysis (for example sleep monitoring) are dependant on the app that the watch uses. Measurements may require manual button pushing in order to record.
Check reviews for the watch AND the app before you make your purchase to minimize disappointment.
Here is the watch on the mothership for your research. There is only 1 review available, bad news.
I owned a nearly-identical one of these, and fwiw, they do a decent job at a handful of things (including phone interface with basic functions).
Apple watch? Not at all. But worth $10? Without hesitation.
IDK. But comparing to devices meant to take BP and O2, it’s close enough. If margin of error is a deal breaker, I’d probably be living in the hospital.
That review is only available in Singapore. Ding ding.
