1000 PK Blue Nitrile Gloves

1000 PK Blue Nitrile Gloves

4 mil is a really thin glove. Harbor Freight’s cheapest nitrile glove are 5 mil and they tear if you look at them wrong.

I keep balking at this deal for that very reason, every time they put it up. 4 mil is awfully thin. So frugal me thinks… “hey, this is a great price, I should take the chance!”; while realistic me thinks… “value/savings is lost if xx% of them become unusable (upon tearing)”

I was just composing the same comparison, but it’s worth noting that the price for 10 boxes of the 5mil Harbor Freight gloves (even XL) would be $100, so this is a LOT less. 65% of these gloves would need to be unusable to make this a comparable price. And if the first box is truly crap, I can always donate them to a homeless shelter for food prep use.

I’ve bought these twice now and yes they are thin but really are a great deal for what I use them for.

For dog potty accidents, kitty litter, and other one-time uses…like handling raw meat and other icky things these gloves are pretty useful.

I wouldnt use them with harsh chemicals or cleaners, I am not sure how well or how long they would last. Quick cleaning of the bathroom with windex and shower cleaner, they held up fine but yeah, I probably wouldn’t use bleach or over cleaner or anything crazy caustic with them.

They do feel thicker than similar gloves I’ve bought from Costco (kirkland brand)

One note, the gloves are packed into their boxes pretty snug and can be obnoxious pulling them out. Oh you just want 1 glove? here is 5 to go with it so its not lonesome. I gave up trying to fight thegloves and the box and just dump all the extra gloves that pull out into a ziploc bag.

I just bought 100 of a similar product from the mothership yesterday, and they’re also 4mil gloves. So while I can’t speak specifically to these, I agree with @Eckwinox. Based upon your needs – I use them for cooking, light cleaning, draining the RV, etc – they work completely fine. The only reason I’m not biting is the color (lol). That said I paid $0.12/ea yesterday and these are $0.04/ea…

How about sizing? Do they run on the small side?

Assuming these are the same brand that I ordered before, the medium ones fit just like Costco’s. I haven’t tried any other sizes.
The box only has a vague chart: small 6-7, medium 7-8, large 8-9 and XL 9-10… as to what exactly that equates to…age, inches, brain cells? No idea.

I agree the color is obnoxious but for what they are, I can live with bright blue gloves.

Also, 100% agree with using for the RV! Thanks for reminding me to toss a box in with the water supplies tote.

My problem with hf gloves is the inconsistency. I use them for detailing and car repairs. Some will last several wears. Others rip as soon as i put them on :frowning:

Tough call on these. I’d consider them for extremely light duty tasks where it doesnt matter if they rip (handling meat/smoking). Dealing with trash, probably not.

Usualy the boxes are either 6 or 8 after coupon, so either $60 or $80 for 1000.
