Are you kidding me ??? Who would buy something like this for just $700 ? I see the limit is 10. Unbelievable !!!
When you install this, plan to make adjustments to the boundary wire over the first few weeks. These will also find every dip and dent in your yard and get stuck. This will happen a lot at first! Again, it’ll take a few weeks of patching to get them all filled in. After that you won’t have to worry about mowing again! You will still need to trim occasionally along fences and things.
I watched one of these mow a field when I was stuck in road construction one day. It’s pretty awesome. More $ than a nice push mower, but less than a rider. If it could chase kids off my lawn I’d buy two.
A few days ago while shopping in a local Walmart I saw a ride-on floor cleaner machine peering out around a corner of an aisle. A few seconds later it pulled out into the main aisle and was navigating around one of the center aisle displays and I was thinking that guy better be careful to not knock something off the display (he was only fractions of an inch from it).
But, then I noticed there was no one driving it?!? It is a ride-on machine, but was operating autonomously – and doing a great job of cleaning, avoiding obstacles, and not bumping into people…
As Isaac Asimov said “Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.”

Anyone know if this thing mows better than a wife???
Ooh I’d have hopped on that thing and let it take me on a tour of the W’mart.
Yes. But I wouldn’t ask it to perform other ‘wifely’ duties.
Although it might make pretty good coleslaw.
I’m waiting for one that you use to mow ONCE, it GPS records and then does it for you next time.
So, can this thing mow the grass at midnight without disturbing the neighbors?
OK, I found my answer in the extended description on Amazon:
7. He’s Quiet:
Unlike gas or electric lawn mowers, ROB is battery powered and virtually silent. Meaning you won’t annoy the neighbors if you use it at night, and you can still enjoy the yard while he’s at work.
Also wondering if this will return to the charging station, charge itself and then go back out and continue mowing. At .25 acre per charge it would take a lot of trips to mow all of my grass.
So, a fleet of 10 could take care of 2.5 acres in one charge each. That’ll make quick work of seven grand.
And you could add lights to them so you can still freak out the neighbors. Win!
