Is there a way to determine which “type” of USB-C 3.2 this supports? The way they keep renaming USB 3.x is confusing, but my understanding is that:
USB 3.2 Gen 1x1 = USB 3.1 Gen 1 = USB 3.0 = [5 Gbps]
USB 3.2 Gen 2x1 = USB 3.1 Gen 2 = [10 Gbps]
USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 = [new] = [20 Gbps]
(from What’s the Difference Between USB 3.1 Gen 1, Gen 2 and USB 3.2? - Kingston Technology)
So technically anything from 5 Gbps to 20 Gbps could be called “USB 3.2”, but what people likely want with “USB 3.2” components is the “USB 3.2 Gen 2x2” 20 Gbps data transfer rate.
