The iPhone 7 - launched 2016, six years ago - has had a pretty impressive run - however Apple has announced it will not get iOS 16 this coming fall.
What that means: app developers will gradually drop supporting iOS 15 and the iPhone 7. But assuming the hardware remains solid (including the battery), you should get at least another couple years of basic use out of it.
