I ordered this. Woot only sent me ONE box of 10 packets instead of the 12 boxes of 10 packets that is advertised.
The woot experience is really slipping lately. ![]()
Hello there. Technically Amazon shipped you a single because some of their warehouse associates just LOVE to break apart multipacks. It drives us batty.
Reach out to customer service for some options.
It was just ONE little box. Are you saying Amazon associates either don’t know or can’t tell the difference between 1 box and 12 boxes?
The root cause is that Amazon sells the same item in different formats: singles and various sized multi-packs. Multi-pack items are sometimes the equivalent of a full case, but often are some fraction of a case. The inventories are likely commingled and the Amazon fulfillment center personnel either don’t bother to read the order details or they feel that they don’t have enough time to do so and all they see is a quantity of one. Singles are likely sold more often than multi-packs, so that is what they ship despite the different ASIN (Amazon Standard Identification Numbers). Some Amazon fulfillment centers are bigger offenders than others.
The split happens when it’s put into inventory. The people or robots pulling an order don’t look to see if the item matches the description. They just pull and go. ![]()
Ok. Then why is woot so slow to respond when something like this happens? I’m still waiting on a refund for a non-deliverly of a previously ordered woot item for which I’ve already been charged.
CS answers contacts in the order received. Please allow 48-72 hours for them to respond.
If you were paid $8 an hour to run around a 110-degree warehouse and pee in a bottle that you have to carry around with you and then bring home to empty, would you tell the difference between 1 box and 12 boxes?
Really? If you paid $14.99 for something instead of its actual $1.25 price would YOU notice???
I’m not saying that you’re wrong to complain about your order to get it fixed, I’m just saying that you can’t really blame the neo-feudalist wage slaves for an issue that is systemic on a much deeper level.
But… Amazon starts at $15 an hour minimum and the average starting salary is $23 an hour. Not discounting your underlying concerns, but Amazon isn’t paying people $8 an hour.
Well, what everyone can learn from my recent experiences is don’t order food items or anything that is being sold in any form of multiples from woot. Woot simply can’t fulfill those orders competently. I’m out money because of those facts.
You aren’t out anything, you’ll be reimbursed. If anything, you’re getting free stuff.
Buying food from Amazon is a risk in general. Sometimes you get a perfect product, and sometimes you get something that’s a unit instead of a pack, or has expired 7 months ago, or the jar of sauce they throw into the shipping box shatters into a million pieces and you get $1,200 worth of computer component carbonara.
Again, it’s Amazon. The inventory is from Amazon and shipped by Amazon. We don’t have eyes on it. But you’re not out of money. Just reach out to customer service and they’ll help you out.
When will I be reimbursed? My credit card has already been charged. I actually have to PAY that credit card bill. Or are you unaware of how credit cards work?
Stop making excuses for sloppy and inept order fulfillment. We (customers) have to PAY for woot’s mistakes before they take corrective action. Ive heard NOTHING from woot to date on what action they’ll take to fix the orders that I’ve already had to pay for that they didn’t fulfill. That costs me money.
Adding an update… Woot did the right thing and refunded me for both orders that I either didn’t receive or were the wrong quantity.
My profound thanks to everyone at woot who worked so hard to make everything right. Thank you!!
