We finally got a poly rug that holds up to the outrageous āpet mistakesā our cats hawk up or worse.
But what works for us is INDOOR/OUTDOOR poly rugs. A much harder finish, not plush.
If you have a pee/poop/barf issue, consider indoor/outdoor.
Are these OK on hard wood floors? I have had anti-slip rugs before that āglueā themselves to the wood, causing the floor to need refinishing when we got rid of the rug.
Itās a pretty rug, but itās going to be a challenge to get it to lie flat. Time will tell. What I canāt fix is the what looks like wear spots from being rolled up. The thread is shorter and really noticeable. This may become an outdoor rug. 
Lay it upside down (against the curl) with some weight on the ends like books.
