Similar to my question over on the kid’s tablet… can someone tell me some things about this?
Can you turn alexa off? I know that these can be “sideloaded” with the play store. Has anyone done this and what is your experience? Can this run Skype and email?
I think your question is can you turn Alexa on with this device. The Fire HD 8 seventh gen does not have Alexa automatically on unless you go to the settings to have it hands free which then it will listen to voices at all times. Normally this is not turned on in the settings, which then means you have to press the home button at the bottom of the screen to make Alexa listen for instructions.
