[MOD: Not Gel Memory Foam]

What is the density of both the comfort layer and the base layer? ILD?

Will fitted sheets fit this bed? I just ordered some Very Wooty fitted sheets and they have got to fit the bed I get!

Any manufacturer rep available to discuss product construction- where materials made, type, density, firmness rating- etc…???

+1 for density

Depends on the sheets but most of the sheets we sell fit beds over 14", usually around 18".

Answers to the Density Questions

Top gel layer is 3lb density.
Bottom/support layer 2lb density.

So, I am in the market for a new mattress. I have been interested in the TempurPedic style. Way outta my price league. What amount of the special gel stuff do you Wooters think is best for a woman of 150lbs/5’2" and a husband of 5’10.5"/190lbs? Does our weights make a difference in comfort? Thank you. aj

Nice this is listed: “Shipping Note: Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, PO Boxes and APO addresses not available for this item”

I take it Colombia is out of the question?

What is the weight and size of the shipping box?

Yeah, Columbia would be out.

Don’t have the size but it’s right at 80 lbs.

My wife and I are similar to the sizes you listed - we own this mattress and used it as our primary bed for a couple of years. It was such a wonderful experience to sink into the bed and have the squishy foam support both of us. Size and weight do affect how much you will sink into the mattress as does surrounding temperature, the warmer the room the more squish the bed has.

We finally made the jump to Tempurpedic about six months ago (found a clearance sale) there’s nothing like it. We found that after a many months of sleeping on the memory foam that we started having weird aches and pains (shoulder hurting in the morning, hip problems) - perhaps it was all just signs of getting old. We now have the mattress in our guest room and everyone who sleeps on it comments on what a great night sleep they had and what a great mattress it is.

Here’s one last awkward thing…sex. Without getting too complicated or explicit, the memory foam will dip and sink a more than a standard mattress that may put things in…um…different places, nor does a memory foam mattress have any bounce or give to it. I actually did a little research and found that this is a common complaint about memory foam. So…take that for what it is and use your imagination.

Over all - it’s definite step up if you’ve had your old mattress for 10+ plus years and it’s uncomfortable, I consider this one a gateway mattress to other mattresses.

Hm, 3lb is not great. What about ILD? Also where was the foam made? And is it certified?

Bought one from Woot a year or so ago and it’s the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on.

It suits me and my desire for that soft feeling and my husband’s desire (plus my back’s requirement) that it be firm. And two thumbs up from Mr. Always-too-warm for the cooling gel – he definitely feels like it helps him sleep cooler.

We are bigger people (190 and 250 lbs) and haven’t noticed any issue with it seeming excessively compress-able. You sink into it when you sit or lie down, but just enough to feel luxurious.

Bought one from another source in November and LOVE it! Surrounding temperature definitely plays into the give of the mattress. That being said it is a huge step up from any inner spring mattress. For the price, I dont know how its not worth it if youre looking to make the jump to memory foam.

Did anyone get a shipping confirmation yet?

Standard shipping is usually 3-5 business days after the sale. You should more than likely receive updates early in the week for tracking/shipment.

Mine had a huge crease 1/3 of the way into the mattress 72+ hours after opening. When I removed the cover I saw that it was pinched by over gluing. I didn’t want to deal with shipping it back so I took a razor and cut it myself to free up the top layer of foam. Pretty disappointed that I had to go through all that…
