This is going to be slow (painful) because of the platter and the 12GB of (mismatched) RAM. I spent about $120 on upgrades and it’s working great. I installed a 550GB SSD and 32GB of RAM (the OS recognized the full amount of RAM) and now it’s zoomy. This does take windows 11 home version but you can upgrade the OS for $99 if you want, it does have TPM. The form factor is pretty easy to get into. Reinstalling the OS, patches, driver updates, and BIOS flash will take some time. You can keep the 1 TB platter drive installed and use as extra storage. If you do the upgrades yourself, it’s a pretty good deal. WOOT!
