In researching this one seems biggest complaint is not having front breaks. For a bike rated at 25mph that’s crazy and dangerous.
Look at the photo. It looks like there is a disk on the front axle for a brake. Do you see that?
- Dual Cable-Actuated Disc Brakes
- Brake caliper is hydraulic by design but the rest of the system is cabled.
- Dual disc brakes, one on each tire
Can we get some confirmation on the warranty? Is there no manufacturer warranty, even for the “new” product? It’s the same 90 day woot warranty for both new and refurbished units?
I read through a lot of reviews as well, and it seems like the initial design of this model only had back brakes. The current iteration has dual brakes. Now the question is Woot’s description accurate, and this is the newer design, or are these the old design being unloaded at a discount? Because outside of the front brake difference, the two designs look identical.
Warranty is correct. We can sometimes get a better deal if we carry the warranty.
Hi there! Authorized refurbisher for Voyager here. Can confirm that the New Version (this listing) is the updated version of the Radius Pro and does indeed have dual disc brakes. The refurb that we also have listed right now is the older version with just rear wheel brakes. Hope that helps!
