Really good reviews at Amazon.

I’ve always gone for the big versions (with air compressors, etc) but this one actually seems to work.

Astro Pneumatic is a great company. They don’t make junk. I’m in.

Lithium or ?
I have a couple based on lead-acid batteries… they work for a year but die shortly thereafter…

Manual here:

Is this lead acid or lithium ion?

it is indeed lithium ion

I reviewed a very very similar model: http://smile.amazon.com/review/R2JSWQCR7RD0VJ/ref=cm_cr_rdp_perm

Just as an FYI - this one is 200A/400A peak - which will be good for jumpstarting a smaller engine with a weakened battery (riding lawnmower, average commuter car) - but won’t save your ass from a dead battery in the middle of winter. Bolt makes a similar product but with a greater number of L-ion cells, pushing you into the 400A/60o peak arena, and it’ll turn over my 6 liter jeep with a cold-dead battery, or even the battery fully disconnected several times… It’s roughly the same size. Still - i’ll likely jump on this for my siblings, who have more basic needs and don’t need the 130.00 Bolt model.

Where was this a month ago when my motorcycle battery left me stranded with cooling Indian food in my panniers?! …sold.

The negative clamp broke the first time I tried to charge a car battery. Any ideas?

I’m sorry about that. You have a one-year warranty with Astro Pneumatic.

I looked up their information for you.

I purchased three of these units based on the positive reviews on Amazon. After the first use, the 12 volt clamp busted. And after 1 month the actual unit exploded. What a complete piece of JUNK. I have never written a negative review for any item I have purchased, but I need to warn people about this JUNK.
And I love woot, I have purchased many items from them, but don’t ask them for help, because they won’t do a thing to help you…

Please don’t but it.
