Holy crap! That’s a lot of money for something that’s really not necessary.
Just use some 2x4’s and bolts/screws to hold the larger pieces together. I’ve got several in my backyard that have been holding up well for years. The extra wood and screws will cost less than a third of these brackets.

All I would say is not everyone is at the same level of DYI or confidence, and while it may be pricey, this kit looks like it would definitely do the trick and would hold up. I’m good with my tools and wouldn’t get this, but not everyone else is.
