Memory foam generally don’t have springs. they have a core of support foam as the base.

Not true at all. MOST memory foam matresses today are built on a bed of springs. I have a Zinio that’s more than 4 years old and it’s as firm as when I bought it. Because it has springs.
This is a medium firmness which means it’s going to deteriorate quickly without springs.
It is in fact true… memory foam mattresses have no springs according to just about every mattress manufacturer I can find online.
I believe what you are thinking of is called a “Hybrid” mattress… those do have springs, as well as some foam/memory foam components.
I prefer sea foam to memory foam
