Maple brown transparent stain by Thompson waterseal is EXACTLY what I used to stain my deck with every third year and it worked beautifully. I would jump right on buying this if it were the same thing. But, over a decade ago they had to reduce VOCs or something and changed the formula, at least in my state. The newer product was just awful and I have never found anything comparable to what I used from maybe 2000 to 2008.
If there is any chance this is the original formula, please reply WOOT. I would love to buy 5 or 6 gallons of the original formulation, but bet it has changed all over the US by now.
