I learned to stay away from the “inexpensive” garden tools that were made with hollow steel handles that were inserted in a poly-pro handle section because the plastic always cracked away if you actually exerted enough force to do any real garden work, as opposed to just working with planters or potted plants. I wonder though if solid poly-pro might actually hold up better?
