The shipping on these… absolutely hilarious. Surpasses even the worst of pre-mothership woot shipments. Well done mothership. Way to screw up something so easy….

How a shipment arrives from Walmart: everything packed and aligned neatly within a single box, air bags and spacers present throughout empty spaces to ensure all items are protected.

How a shipment arrives from Amazon: one single can of tuna (out of an order of a 12-pack) tumbling around inside a 12x9x6-inch box. The can is somehow magically bent at an almost perfect 90-degree right angle. The only other thing inside the oversized box is a single piece of packing paper that’s about the size of a napkin.

Your response made me laugh until I cried. Thank you for the super laugh to start my week. It’s all 100% truth. The one strip of paper was the funniest. :joy:

Thinking about ordering, what’s the best by or guaranteed 15 year power guarantee date on them? Thanks

Hello. These are from Amazon so we don’t have that information plus it could vary from warehouse to warehouse.

EDIT.
Woot offered a replacement or refund for it. Thanks woot customer support.

Ordered yesterday, delivered today. Package arrived with the batteries already open and rolling about in the box. Submitted an email complaint. Will wait for response from woot to see if they do something about it.

To be fair, they probably opened in transit. The glue holding the plastic to the cardboard is terrible with these.

Pretty sure they send this guy to come put them back in the package and apply a piece of tape to keep it closed:

a small black and white box that says food delivery|262.5x138.4090909090909

I didn’t want to wait; I just put them back and taped it myself (well, the Energizer ones that came the same way).

Hi there. Agree with @ShotgunX that it opened in transport. These were obtained from and shipped by Amazon. They choose how to ship things. Sorry it opened up.

Could be worse, you could have ordered rice.

Then it could be marketed as a recycleable bird feeder.

I mean, the plastic case they were in came with it. Obvious they fell out during shipping. I just bought some. Didn’t deter me. However, Amazon does do horrible with shipping items in the wrong size boxes. I blame the robots. At least they find a box for your product to get to you quickly! I have kids, so every box we get is a new adventure or ends up being a storage box to some kind of junk. Just waiting now for drone delivery!!! Lol

I just bought 2 packages of these for $4.99 each this week. I had some slight package issues, the bottom is pulling away from the box, they came in the correct size bag though.

Maybe someone finally figured it out at the warehouse.

I don’t see a expiration date :person_shrugging:

Weird the dates aren’t on the package. Likely the batteries have the manufactured and/or use by dates on them.

I agree I think it is weird. I posted them because I couldn’t find any dates on the package. Let me check a battery then…

You are correct they are dated for 12/2039. They are about 2 years old but they won’t last 13 years around here. Thanks for the tip. :slightly_smiling_face:

I got 60 AAA from amazon for $10 of these.

They had like a 50% coupon and I had to do subscribe and save and then cancel them subscribe and save it later but I just started using.

Can’t speak to their quality just cuz I haven’t had them long enough.

You mean 60 pack of the ‘high energy’ version, not the fusion which is their high-drain variant with longer guarantee. Good value though, particularly in low drain devices.

Not a single battery remained in the original packaging by the time it got to me.

Yep but Amazon loves that packaging method. :frowning:
