Sooooo, is the 20% Discount an April Fools? Hummm?
Replaceable batteries?
10% I believe
For this price point, probably not easily replaced. They brag up the fact they’re waterproof so they might be glued shut.
But I don’t know for sure.
I have theses from the last time and the batteries are replaceable but in general they’re kind of junk.
Thanks for sharing. I was concerned on the quality based on the images.
I was concerned simply because of the low, low price indicating dollar store quality.
Thanks for saving me
I have two sets of these. They are great for the price. Batteries are replaceable. They come with all hardware needed. Survived the winter.
I have these. They’re cheap, take rechargeable AA batteries. Good value, but expect them to break eventually.
How do these attach? Screws? Adhesive? Command strips?
Yes
Those two holes on each side of the solar panel are for screws.
Yes the batteries are replaceable. I have these and they held up over a Minnesota winter.
If these are similar to the ones I purchase from the orange store, I believe the batteries are about 450 mAH. My experience with a battery of that capacity, on these lights, is that it lasts you from sundown to about 10-1030 PM before output starts dropping off, and unusable amounts of light by about 1130. You can take that info, and use it as you wish… what I did was replaced my pathway lights with 2800 mAH ones, and used the 900mAH ones from those and put them in the deck lights. Gives you some additional hours, especially for those nights where you come home a couple hours later. For the cost of batteries, and the cost of comfort… I go overkill on things like this.
Screws. I wouldn’t use anything with a sticker-level adhesive (like command strips) in a spot outdoors where it would be directly exposed to rain/snow. Closest I’d get to that would be a wall in a covered space that barely gets wet from spatter… and even then, not on floor level. This is, I believe, a couple 1-inch screws with (low-quality) plastic wall anchors included.
