Does this come in pink?

The color options are blue/pink and pink/pink. So you can get a set with one blue and one pink or a set where both are pink.

Pinky swear.

(Please note: I don’t work for Woot, I just volunteer to help out here on the forums.)

The burger videos were funny, particularly the A&W one.

I’ve only watched two of them. It’s weird how humans can seem so robotic.

Why Woot??! WHY???! I am just going about my life already spending too much money and then you throw up an item I did not even know existed and have to look it up. Only to find reviews are good. Don’t need it. Kids will love it. :face_with_spiral_eyes: Will it work at a theme park? Ahhh!

Already bought the car emergency kit because Woot knows my fear of car crashing into water.

Again… Why Woot?! :joy::face_with_monocle:

Concepts in this photo hypothetically look to be inaccurate but you do you mom/dad_boy\girl.

How does this work? Wifi? Cell service? Whats the video quality? What is the range? Why 3-5 year olds ? 8 year old won’t enjoy it? Am i too dumb to understand this?

@hoobahoo - It will work in a theme park for about 3 to 4 blocks if no buildings obstructing (good luck). Only about 200 to 300 feet inside a building if lots of metal and concrete.

You want a 500mW FRS radio with 14 channrls and encryption so other people do not blast you with yelling for their kids

Or if you technically get FCC licenses for all family members , set up to 2 Watt GMRS radios (often on woOT) tgat cat hit 2 miles unobstructed.

If you get licenses you can go to 5 to 8 Watt 2 meter radios. (Sokd rarely on woOT)
Such as the Baofeng Chinese 2 meter radios which a lot of hunters use. Those xan reach out 10+ miles unovstructed.

However, you may already have what you need. If visiting a museum, i always have a phone on me. So i SMS text rather than talk. If others have no signal the text is delivered when they enter an area with a signal. Setting phone on vibrate is less disturbing of others.

Hope this helps.

All family household members are covered if one person gets the FCC license.

Yes, i wince at that illogical FCC rule. One should train and not abuse the license or i predict that those who use it responsibly will advocate that it be changed. It is very cheap in cost.

I have a ham license, but in reality, unless you are abusing the airwaves or broadcasting (as in news/music/entertainment/etc) they ain’t going to come knocking on your door for using a walkie talkie with your kids.

But I know that there are people who will follow any law just because it’s law :man_shrugging:

This is a good channel (the whole channel) for anyone interested

I think most people aren’t even aware ham radio is a thing, let alone that people still actively use it. It sounds like it’s not a biggie on the enforcement front, either, as long as you aren’t being disruptive. My Google search said that you’re more apt to be called out by others in the community.

That’s all based on a brief search so I could be talking out of my backside here. You would know far more about it than me.
