I purchased a similar (?) model last time they were here
Origami R5-01W General Purpose 4-Shelf Steel Collapsible Storage Rack with Wheels, Large
Am VERY happy with the how sturdy the construction is, as well as its versatility. The middle shelf doesn’t close QUITE right, and the metal is so strong I doubt I could bend it short of a clamp and a hammer. That said, it certainly does not stop me from saying I would buy these in a heart beat if I had an inch of space. I want to use them for my plants at some point…but other priorities.
Is it just me, or are the links to previous sales conspicuously missing when these are being sold for more than usual? Sure, it’s only $5 more (they usually sell for $120 for a pair), but it does seem odd that previous sales aren’t linked. I wonder if the slightly higher price is to help offset the 10% discount being made available if Amazon Payments is used. With the 10% discount, you’d technically be saving more than previous sales, but not quite that much due to the slightly higher price.
Nitpicking aside, I own a bunch of these and they are very handy when you need quick temporary shelving. I also use some nearly permanently, but I have to be careful not to overload the shelves with too much weight.
i was just thinking the same thing. They have been up on woot at least 2 other times and were 119.99.
I may be missing something but in addition to being more expensive than previous offerings, it appears these also do not include wheels like either?
Yup I bought 4 last time for 119.99. 8x units total - working great so far, indoors and outdoors.
Sometimes they include the wheels, sometimes they don’t. I’ve bought these a couple times in the past when wheels weren’t offered. For what it’s worth, they aren’t rated for as much weight with the wheels attached. I believe you can also order casters separately from Amazon to attach to these. They’ve got holes in the bottom that are normally there to attach the included leveling legs.
