Not worth it. Amazon has lights that have a lot more LEDs for the same price. 4 LEDs are not going to light up much of anything.

Could you provide a link to those superior lights?

Link please?
Number of LEDs mean not much.
1 super power LED will beat 20 low power LED array.

from what I have gleaned from searching these things are no brighter than those lights you can get from the dollar store that you line your sidewalk / patio with

I purchased these for much less per light and am very pleased with their output. I mounted them by drilling small holes through the top of my gutters and using some small nuts/bolts. I highly recommend them; aluminum casing instead of plastic, completely weatherproof, 16 LEDs that are very bright and the motion sensors work well.

They remain on in a dim mode (think strong moon light) as soon as it gets dark out and activate when someone gets within 10 feet or so.

The Solar piece at the top starts peeling off because of the heat from the sun.It causes an opening to the inside of the unit which water and dirt destroy it. Also 2 of the 3 boxes I purchased were missing the mounting brackets, which makes them useless. Manufacturer will not return emails or phone calls. DO NOT BUY THIS GARBAGE!!Not much help from Woot either, so far…

This is a nice idea - but why anyone would want these specific units is beyond me.

Consider: 600 lumens is about equal to a 40-watt lightbulb. The specs for these units says they generate 60 lumens PER PAIR. That, by itself, is then the equivalent of a 4-watt light bulb…but since their power output is rated PER PAIR, it also means that, singularly, they generate about 2 watts of light.

Even if you attribute lumens to watts on a 10:1 basis, the light generation of these units is still moonglow.

These are terrible! I took a chance and bought a pair of these and even with all day sunshine, the output of these are less than a firefly—DO NOT BUY!!! Absolute junk!

Thank you I am buying the ones from Amazon

Moving this over from the other thread.

I bought these last go-round. I am quite happy with them. I followed the directions and let them charge up in direct sunlight with the switch “on” for at least 12 hours. (I turned the switch off at night so it wouldn’t come on, then to “on” again for the rest of the initial charge).

I think these are decent quality and light output is fine for security and seeing where you are going. On one unit, one of the four LED’s did not work but that didn’t seem to affect the light output by much.

Soooo, I can honestly say these are terrible!!!

1, They last (after full sun 11 hours charging time) about 90 minutes.
2, The glue holding the solar panel on comes loose with heat, like regular sitting in the sun heat…horrible.
3, Once the glue comes loose, the entire circuit and battery housing turns to rust.
4, If the glue doesn’t rust everything the poorly sealed battery housing will.

and finally I purchased 8 of these directly from the manufacturer and all 8 ended up in the trash…

This is a quality post

These are 100% CRAP! I bought the square ones and they are plain LED’s not the newer bright ones so very little output. That being said they are POORLY sealed and water gets inside rusting them out. I have already had two of the four go bad and it’s not even been 6 months. TOTAL CRAP!!!
