So theoretically, buying 4 “I Miss the Old Woot” or similar $10/$11 T-shirts, would mean that you get 2 for free, a coupon for a free shirt eventually, and you save 20%?
What exactly is the definition of a new customer. Has anyone considered these constant extra discounts for new customers could alienate long-term customers. Probably not. It seems to be a pattern with the Mother Ship too. Let’s try this new grocery store concept (Amazon Fresh). It’s not working out as we hoped. We could try to fix it. Naw, let’s just pull the plug. The customers we attracted? Who cares!
Any less fair than the app refusing to complete a sale, so I typically cruise finds on my phone and then habitually forget to go back later to complete the purchase on my desktop until at least one of my choices has sold out?
Anybody having problems using this?
I attempted to purchase something, got as far as I could go before actually purchasing it and the final cost never changed..
Liked it better when I had to input a code.
Looks like you figured out the solution to your problem, then. If you believe the incentives are misaligned, appropriately adjust your behaviors and if you were right, you’ll find those incentives won’t remain asymmetric.
20% discount didn’t apply to my final price…..
Same thing happed to me as well.
So I attempted to purchase a second order and the final price at “place order”
never changed so of course I didn’t purchase the second order
