Thank god this ships to NY! In for a case.
And I can pronounce it perfectly, I speak Italian
Hmmmm Montepulciano nice everyday drinker!
Was first sucker and that is a plus! Can’t beat the QPR on this.
like the description, rating on CT, and the Vintner voicemail
dark lush fruit, yet not one dimensional, good spread of flavor across the palate
in for 2
Should I pull the trigger? My turn to buy.
If it goes great with mac and cheese, it must also be perfect with grilled cheese, and I make a mean grilled cheese sandwich. I’ll try it!
Have not had this particular wine - but I have visited Montepulciano and have never met one that I did not like. Great for… Everything. I’m in for one. More if I could.
Montepulciano d’Abruzzo is my favorite wine; smooth and easy drinking.
I’ve never had a bottle (from any vineyard, at any price) that disappointed me.
Hmmm. I love Montepulciano d’Abruzzo and, according the the winemaker’s web site the 2006 won a 2010 Vinalies Internationale d’Argent award. So much for the SIWBM…
Residual Sugar: 3.5 g/l <- Is that typical?
First time in quite a while I’ve been reminded to lament that we can’t have wine shipped to KY. I love Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, have had several different brands and it’s always been great. My husband’s people are from Abruzzi, which is why I tried it for the first time, and it’s now our default Red (though we do drink other things occasionally.)
Gosh darn Kentucky and their weird alcohol laws. We can’t get the Idaho potato vodka either…
As long as your good with it i’m in!
Wow.
And the fee to register for direct shipment sales to the state I live in is only $200 …
My purchase might have covered it!
I can’t resist a well-aged Italian…I’m in.
I’m in for 1 and willing to sell/trade/drink a bottle or two with anyone who might be attending the Ohio Wine Dinner with Scott & Jana Harvey and/or the wine & beer festival on the following day.
Descriptions says this varietal is often consumed young… Any word on the drinking window?
I used the “write us” link over a week ago to ask about shipping, and got no response – Maryland law has allowed shipping of wine from out-of-state wineries direct to consumers as of July 2011, so it’s relatively new, and I know some forms took until the fall of 2011 to be readied by the state. Shipcompliantblog.com even mentions Maryland as a state that allows wine shipping. So I wanted to ask woot.com if maybe they were using the same list of states for every post and need to update it, but it’s been a few days and I have not received a response. Any helpful ideas or suggestions?
This is the first imported wine I’ve seen for a while that ships to MO.
Looks interesting, in for one.
Got the last of my wine from the last woot off yesterday. It was all could do to not open one of those Janus Cathedrals as soon as I walked in the door.
Had a fair amount of wine when I was in the Puglia Region, and really got to like the mineral after tones. Italian wine? Easy drinker? Heck I’m in for one…
