Feels like polyester, not absorbent. All to often I find the woot products to have issues and actually not a deal at all.
I was initially disappointed, but the towels really fluff up well after they’ve been through the washer a couple times. Much happier with them now.
I bought these for a rental home. They were a little on the thin side, but looked nice. The towels made so much lint the first time we cleaned them, we had to have our drier fixed (clogged the lint trap with over 4" of lint). We have continued using them but still end up with over 1/2- 1" of lint from just a few towels. At this rate, they will evaporate / disintegrate in the next few weeks. I do not recommend, at all…
