Easy to see why this is being clearanced. What should have been 1 cup, 2 cup, 4 cup measures are marked 8 ounce (1 cup), 16 ounce (2 cups), and THIRTY THREE (33) ounces! Yeah the last one is 4 cups and 1 ounce. Who needs that measure? It would be ok if it had a 4 cup mark as well, but alas not so.
Just took a second look. Apparently these are marked in ounces and pints that are not the standard ones you know, but the “Imperial” gallon that the last users were Canadian distillers and they went metric like 35 years ago. Here in the USA we have 16 ounces in a pint, so a 1/4 pint is four ounces. These show quarter (1/4) pints as FIVE ounces and full pints as 20 ounces. So great if you want to throw off someone here in the US, or know someone in Canada that has not been “metricized”.
