Silhouette Studio software is broken for users of the Fall 2018 update of Windows 10. So if you’re hoping to plug your Cameo in to a new Xmastime PC, you might want to hold off. These guys come up on Woot often enough that you’re not missing out by waiting.
The specific issue of which I am aware is an inability to access Windows fonts aside from those that ship with the OS or from the Silhouette Store. That’s a pretty nasty bug given the function of the device.
FYI, we checked with Silhouette. They are aware of the discussions about the issue. They’ve seen only 10 confirmed reports of it though. Regardless, they are researching it.
I have a Cameo 3 running updated software on Windows 10. I’ve had no issues of any kind. My fonts work no problem.
