Anyone else had this problem? I bought this specifically as a device for watching our Fire TV recast box - and we’ve found that it is impossible to install teh Fire TV app - after a lot of research it turns out that the Fire TV recast only works with Gen 5 or later Fire tablets, amd despite the headline on this sale which said “Fire OS 5” it is not 5th gen but 4th gen. No watching TV for us.
Anyone found a workaround?
Hi there. The operating system it’s running is FireOS 5, or version 5.
If you decide not to keep it, please contact Woot Customer Service for assistance. From a browser, use the Woot Customer Service form. In the Woot App, choose Account from the bottom navigation and then Support.
Glad I looked at this page today! Had not occurred to me that Woot might take it back - thanks! I guess there are some plusses to Woot being owned by Amazon nowadays
