Radioddity GD-77 Dual-Band Two-Way Radio

Radioddity GD-77 Dual-Band Two-Way Radio

For this price, it seems to me that the TYT MD-380 for $10 more would be a much better DMR radio.

You’re right, but at this price the GD-77 makes for a fantastic analog dual band radio, something that would cost over $300 just a few years ago. The digital side is decent enough for most talk groups too, but it really shines as a great first ham radio for someone new to the hobby. The one I got direct from Radioddity last year came with the programming cable and software for $99.

This also is a nice inexpensive DMR capable scanner if you are looking for one to listen to VHF/UHF digital(and analog) channels, compared to others that normally run hundreds of dollars
