Does anyone know how big these are? If the pictures can be believed, they look pretty substantial. But actual dimensions would be useful.
If this picture is to scale:
Then I estimate the bar to be 2 USB x 15 USB in dimensions.

(a typical usb plug is 0.5 inches)
Though actual dimensions may vary.
These would serve a better use in a computer or entertainment cabinet. And if they REALLY mean a closet, maybe they are thinking those cubby holes in a RV.
Now, does each light require a power pack or do they have their OWN built in battery and the power pack you see in the pick used to remote charge the light if you don’t go charge it up at some outlet? Do you get one power pack? Can you chain them togther? A few questions (and the price isn’t the best if you look at the ones on the mother ship) should have been addressed in the write up, IMO. ![]()
This page says the 36 LED model is 210mm (~8.25") long.
It seems like it should be the right info since that page uses a lot of the same images as this and other listings for these lights.
I like the innovative method. Looks like a reasonable approximation. I just never know what to think since so many of these images are obviously photoshopped these days.
Yeah, I saw the 210mm. The space I want to use it for is pretty tight. I can probably guess pretty close to the other 2 dimensions. But actual numbers would be preferred.
That page I linked to says the width is 23mm… it doesn’t mention the depth that I can find. But from any of the pics, it looks to be less than 23mm width, if that helps any.
Edit: Oh, yeah I guess you can tell it’s round from the pic with the ends of the light bar. Can’t find any site that has the specific depth measurement… but it’s got to be close to the 23… probably a few mm less since the top is flat.
Ok, I’m giving these a shot. I’ll try to remember to come back with some feedback.
For those still paying any attention, received my lights yesterday.
Here are the measurements I get: 8-3/8"L x 15/16"W x 3/4"D.
My initial reaction is, it seems to have about the quality one would expect from electronics these days, i.e. not great, but it’ll get the job done for at least a little while.
The light is bright. The 3 colors are nice to have. Motion sensor seems to work fine. The magnetic mount is new to me, though I noticed it on a ton of products when shopping for this last week; must be the feature of the day. I do like the idea of the magnetic mount. Makes the mounting more flexible, and I can grab the light off the mount easily to use it somewhere where I need light in a pinch.
I don’t care for the single button operation. It’s hard to tell which mode I’m selecting. It took about a half dozen tries to turn it off.
Overall, pretty good, but there’s definitely room for improvement.
