These only work with, some, Galaxy devices.

They do mention that deep in the description. I mention it because I made the error of ordering one a year or two ago and didn’t realize I couldn’t use it till I tried to set it up.
I loved walled gardens, it’s why I really like sticking with android /s

I believe you’re referring to the UWB feature only, which does work only with some Galaxy devices. The UWB is more accurate in that it can give you approximate distance and direction, but the standard, non-UWB features should still work fine with any device. That makes it about the same as a Title device. It’s accurate, just not hyper-accurate. I bought one of these a few months ago after I got a new Galaxy device and I was excited to use the UWB. I was disappointed to learn my new device, despite being “flagship,” did not support UWB. Although I was disappointed, it still works quite well. I will be buying these.

Ehhh that’s a big stretch. It works with almost all Samsung phones that have come out in the last 5 years. If you are talking about UWB, then sure, it’s a lot fewer phones. But that’s a small feature that isn’t used much anyways since if you are close enough to use UWB, you are close enough to hear it play a sound.

Try playing a sound in baggage claim with a plane load of people’s luggage strewn about. I couldn’t hear it at all. I was using the 1st gen one so it wasnt telling me which direction to go, just when the BT disconnected.

Walled gardens compared to what? Samsung does occasionally try to do some proprietary stuff, but it never really flies. What you’re describing is a hardware feature that the device you’re using simply doesn’t have.
