Hey, woot! The event page shows a price range of $8.99-$159.99. I don’t see anything for $8.99, you Liar McLiartons!
That said, $18.99 is a good price for piece of mind. I use one similar to this in my car for the rare occasions that I can’t bring my firearm inside with me. Don’t leave guns in your car. If you have to, AT LEAST use something like this.
This model also works well for traveling via airplane. Put this in your checked luggage and lock it up after declaring the firearm at the airline counter. Again, just a little extra piece of mind that it won’t fall into the wrong hands.
