No way lmao. They just sold the open box ones for $10 less.
I have one of these, they’re great. I replaced the serrated blade with a non-serrated first thing, however, and it just breezes through lunchmeat, half-frozen blocks of beef for jerky, fresh baked breads, you name it.
I love my meat slicer. I don’t know how I lived without it.
I bought one of these last November from Woot. At the time it was $3 more than the current price. Mine works great, although it is used very lightly.
Why change the serrated blade? It seems to cut very well. I use it to cut smoked brisket and pork loin and love it. I also found out it works well if you want to cut very thin onion strings.
Non-serrated blades make smoother cuts
