Nintendo recently announced an updated version of the Switch that will be coming out late August for the same MSRP. Comes with an updated processor and better battery life. Just an FYI for anyone who is thinking of getting one.
However, note that it will not be a new SKU, it’s likely just a slight model update because of the hardware codesign bypass that was revealed last year (opens the door to PIRACY HOOOO).
Any update will likely not be that big of a deal, nor will games be able to explicitly target the new hardware akin to the new Nintendo 3DS XLs and such.
Also gonna have a smaller screen though and no ability to dock.
You’re thinking of the Switch Lite. That’s a whole new redesign and a new SKU.
The updated version I’m talking about is the same form factor as the original but with updated parts.
