I got one of these and was all excited… but I must be doing something wrong because my fresh herbs all just smash into the thing and I get very little out…
does this work with eh hem , recreational herbs?
I have a feeling the fresh herbs you’re trying to grind are culinary herbs…which is not what this is for.
That’s because it’s for a magical kind of herb.
Have you tried dried herbs? 
Also pick out any wooden stems.
Seeds would need an electric spice grinder. 
I <3 mine, but also experience what @archetype6 writes, i.e. whatever I put in just disappears in smoke.
This is a great bud buster, but I find the one with the hand crank and windowed top works better (I own both). They both offer great grind granuals for vape or smoke. I find if I want a finer grind, the handled one works best.

So is someone with peripheral neuropathy who is in the market for a high quality herb grinder… It kind of peaves me a little bit that the " easy access " grinder is more expensive. I can’t feel my fingertips… That’s why I need the easy access grinder - but I have to pay more?
If it counts for anything, the easy access in these things only ever makes a mess or doesn’t get enough herb out, in my experience
whenever these show up for sale I always go into the comments because the reviews mostly consist of confused grandmas talking about how this gets 1 star because it ruined their basil even though their grandson got really excited about it for some reason, a bunch of people going “this 
does a great job with herbs​:wink:” and then that one person, usually named something like DankLord420 who just, throws away the euphemisms and gushes about exactly how they use it and why they love it, for a 1500 word long review.
Teeheehee! You guys are cracking me up. My sig other bought one not too long ago. He liked it so much that he wanted another one so he could have one for both upstairs and downstairs. I looked at the stats for how many ppl bought it from which state. I giggled bc there was a lot bought in OK now that these medical herbs got legalized recently.
I often find humor, astonishment or confusion in the items that sell particularly well in Idaho. Or don’t sell here.
Some of those maps really say a lot about a state and their residents. 
Bought one. It’s pretty small, smaller than my other herb grinders which get a ton of use. Pretty nice quality though for the price! Can’t beat it.
