My wife has one of these, bought in early 2018. It’s a very nice laptop, but there’s a major flaw – the battery in the base has a tendency to die, and there’s no viable way to replace it. I ended up buying a replacement set of cells on eBay, but the process of prying open the base and removing sufficient adhesive to allow taking out the old battery and putting the new one in left us with a keyboard base that needs tape and rubber bands to stay together. The system does still work, but I’d be hard pressed to buy another one that’s so user-hostile for repairs.
The latest release is the Pro 7. Does anyone know the advances since the Pro 4 and have an opinion on whether a new model would be worth passing this one up?
