Hemostats are really nice for pulling slivers.
Also āroach clipsā Iāve heardā¦
Oh! Are they good for catching cockroaches too?
Youād better stock up. Itās almost April.
What happens in April besides showers? I do that anyway.
Weeds start to grow.
Too late! I was going to mow (actually use a weed whacker) on the patio portion of my āPatio Homeā this weekend.
But are they autoclaveable? Iād like them cleaned in between surgery in my yard.
Only if you need to interrogate them.
But in seriousness, these ākitsā are a dime a dozen on other websites. I like the āzip stitchā myself. More expensive per use but safer, easier to use and no numbing required LOL. IF you ARE going to use ANY of these kinds of devices/kits, take a firstaid class. Preferably a āstop the bleedingā class. Some even offer suture training.
From an EMT perspective you are much better off with a āStop the Bleedā kit, even a cheap one where the tourniquet will not survive more than one use. If you feel a need for one of these then also get a tourniquet so you can stop the bleeding to see what you are doing. Also consider a hemostatic dressing for torso wounds. Now that you can control bleeding you can transport to a higher level of care and NOT do field surgery
