New Normaling
I have found that wearing face masks seems to make me even less likely to engage socially with people I don’t know—like at the grocery store, for instance. In the Olden Days, I at least was more likely to make eye contact and maybe smile. But since I’m wearing a mask and no one can see me smile (and I’m not the Smiling Eyes type of person), I’ve pretty much just given up.
