Woot would sell a ton of these things if they put in a really basic smart chip to connect to wifi, and their only function was to wait on a signal to go off whenever a BoC was coming up.

He did say ‘basic’ smart chip. It only has to catch the ‘go / no go’ signal and turn itself on and off during woot-offs. That’s what I’m waiting for.
For $99.99 I’d better be able to voice command the thing and give it multiple targets to respond to. For instance, when my Bitcoin goes up in price or drops low enough to buy more.

I’ve used the WootOff lights in the past during audits to tell people to leave me alone. It amused me.
You could buy another set of those for $15 from somebody off eBay.
(I found it several months ago, and just saw it again.)
Maybe if I could program it to automatically try to buy for me.
