The description says they are dimmable, does this mean they have a built in dimmer that you can adjust via the app or do you need a dimmer in the socket?
Per the vendor, the dimmer option is built into the app.
What does this mean: fits standard E26 and E27 medium lamp bases
Will it fit into regular ceiling light sockets?

By “lamp” they mean lightbulb so it fits a standard E26 or E27 base for lightbulbs.
E26 is a standard bulb size (the part with the screw base).
