Wouldn’t these be harmful to people when exposed to the light? It’s not like uvc only harm’s the rna of viruses and bacteria. What am I missing, this would be bad for people as well, correct?
You are correct, UV-C is very harmful to our eyes. I bought a UV-C product on Kickstarter and when it came, the device said don’t look at the light. After researching UV-C, it’s a pretty clear consensus it’s harmful to eyes and you should wear UV-C protected glasses when using a device with UV-C.
Shame on you, Woot, for selling this garbage. It cannot actually “sanitize” anything, as it takes more than brief exposure to be effective. Just waving this small source of UVC over something for a moment does absolutely nothing.
This was a piece of junk. Worked once then quit altogether. Woot was kind enough to issue a prompt refund. Would not buy this.
