I have one of these, and had constant issues UNTIL I gave the 2.4ghz and 5ghz bands different SSID names. Since then it has been working ok. Not sure you can configure different SSIDs from the app, but once you get it initially set up, you can access a web interface from a computer to do it (google how to do it, I think when the product first came out they made it difficult to discourage it, but have since made it easier)
