Anyone know anything about these? I noticed “window installation kit” so I guess that means you’d have to keep your window somewhat open anyway to let the water out? I was hoping more like you just empty a bucket of water in the morning or something
The window kit is for the exhaust hose (and maybe water).
The window kit is what I circled. As already started, you have to have an outside exhaust for the hot air and a tube for the condensation to drain from if the unit doesn’t have a built in water reservoir.
Also worth noting is that without exception these units cost more per BTU than their window cousins. We had one when living in an apartment that just wouldn’t cool down enough but couldn’t have a window unit.
