So the listing is a little confusing. It seems to say that the solar panels are and are not included.
[MOD: It can be charged with solar panels but theyāre not included.]
I can assure you, they (Solar Panels) ARE NOT included. I got one of these last time it was offered, $199 but got a 20 dollar credit for the price drop a little later.
Itās a nice looking little unit. Seems well made but itās whats inside that counts. Itās not a FULL 300Watt device. Thats like buying a gas run generator that says ā10,000 wattsā, only to find out itās really only 8.5k, the 10k is just startup power. With that said, I have a goal zero yeti 150 as almost twice as big, so this device if it gives me the same run time as my Yeti, Iām good. Iāve used it to run a laptop for a few hours (like 5) and only took about 40% of the power from the power station. I plan on using it to run my telescope so needless to say, once winter is over, Iāll have more use for it.
Been excited to see the price of these come down, but looking at the reviews I may wait for another. Biggest cons for me are the USB output is 18w, way too low to drive my MBPr, can only charge slowly. Also it cannot provide AC or DC power while being charged, only the various USB ports so that means while itās connected to a solar panel or a car no AC power. If those arenāt deal breakers for you in general the reviews are good and it seems a real strong value but I saw one yesterday on dealnews for about the same price with 60w output, search on āTechossā for the deal
I still donāt believe in this type of device yet. All in one computers seem to have died off too. Too many components to fail and not easily replaceable. Still like the old fashion size 29 deep cycle battery, solar or ac charger and inverter. I ran a laptop and a 5 watt LED bulb with 760 watt inverter (overkill for a 45 watt laptop power brick) and barely made a dent in the battery. Yes it weights over 50lbs for the battery alone but itās a trade off over convenience. Iāll buy this if it even comes close to the power compare to the dc battery solution. If you need convenience and power reserve is enough for your needs, this is a good solution for a simple battery power thatās easy to carry.
Good morning. Where do you see that it says the panels are included?
Hi there. Iām not sure what youāre asking.
(2) DC Outlets (12V/6A) charge for your CPAP or car refrigerator. Power your outdoor trip without worries!
Where would I find a solar panel that is compatible with this unit?
I think the confusion arose because in the specs it says:
āIn the Box :
(1) irozce 300W Portable Power Station, 296Wh Solar Generators with 80000mAh Lithium Battery ā¦ā
Got it.
So itās capable of being charged via solar panels (many generators are not) but the panels are not included. We changed it to Solar-Chargeable.
I suggested āsolar-chargeable-capable-but-panels-not-includedā but was overruled.
Thanks for your post. The canāt charge and be used at the same time is a deal breaker for me.
