ok, so I haven’t used rechargable batteries for a while. I popped in 4 AA batteries earlier today and when I just came back to check on them the charger and batteries were VERY hot, not quite ‘burn my hands’ hot but almost. I got the overnight charger, and these batteries were only in there for like 5 hours. the manual says it shuts off automatically when charging is complete, but also says the LEDs DO NOT turn off when charging is complete so how do you know when they are done? when they burst into flame? the LEDs were flashing green when I 1st put the batteries in and were still flashing green when I took them out. it doesn’t even change from like flashing to solid to indicate that the cycle is done, or maybe like red while charging and green when complete. seems like there should be some sort of visual indication when they are ready.
