This is another weird piece of hardware, hilariously overpriced. It seems like Woot gets its pricing through Amazon or other ecommerce site marketplace vendors.
This is an iSCSI flash storage appliance, with the super-weird handicap of only having 4 gigabit ethernet interfaces. This thing has some Intel RISC XScale CPU in it, so you can’t even repurpose it for anything useful.
Does this come with any flash storage bundled? I wouldn’t count on it. Would it matter? Not really, SATA SSDs worth buying would saturate this thing’s 4 network interfaces, even if bonded, even in a RAID5 or a single disk.
E-waste that doesn’t seem to have much documentation online.
