Looks like you would have to buy a separate motion sensor accessory to make this a complete security light.
How long is the cord?
I guess 59 inches according to the listing on Amazon.
Any idea if you can use this with a smart plug
SANSI 60-70W (500w Equiv.) Outdoor LED Security Flood Light with Plug, Daylight 5700K, Super Bright 7000lm, IP66 Waterproof https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07RBK1Q7P/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_4W76AJNEQWDPV0GA92W7
Since this is designed for outdoor use, how would you ensure the plug does not get soaked? Seems like you would need to run it from indoors or hire an electrician to wire it through a weather resistant conduit.
I have used these (or similar) https://www.amazon.com/SOCKiTBOX-Weatherproof-Connection-Electrical-Enclosure/dp/B009RX5GI2
can this device be used to be used as a alternative to chemotherapy
!thanks!!!
Exactly. And even a proper conduit would be a challenge since there does not appear to be a way to connect it directly to the back of the lamp.
One wonders whether the power cord is even UV-safe for sun exposure.
Seems like more of a temporary work-light fixture.
Seems like it would work. Be sure to use an outdoor-rated smart plug. TP-Link makes a couple very solid ones.
However, if the purpose is a permanent security light, then a proper security light hardwired to a power box - with an interior smart switch - would be a better solution.
Thank you. Good idea for extension. That would extend the length of cabling, but it still needs to go into the house. Either you would have to have a conduit made and sealed or you would need to run it over a window sill and try to prevent bugs and elements from getting in.
Not saying it is a bad product. The light output is much better than the solar motion detector devices. Just wonder about safe installation including naggy things such as electrocution dduring a rainstorm.
That is great - thank you!
