Acer 11.6" Intel 2-in-1 Touch Chromebook

Acer 11.6" Intel 2-in-1 Touch Chromebook

Another unstated refurbisher item.

Note this:

“Chrome OS
Google Approved with Auto-Updates through June 2021”

IOW, it’s already completely past end-of-life support by 2.5 months.

Device is End of Life; this means no more security updates / bug fixes / etc will be released for this device. If you are looking for a Chromebook that will “just work”, this is not what you’re looking for.

Note that new Chromebook/box devices come with six and a half years of updates (from the date of release).

If you’re looking for a Chromebook to tinker with and know what you’re doing, carry on.

Screen resolution isn’t the greatest, but is what it is at this price point.

Woot Staff: The End Of Life date should be at the top of the specs; it’s the single most important spec when buying a Chromebook/box ESPECIALLY considering Chrome based devices have a limited update lifetime. I see you’ve started putting the information in blue and while that’s a start, the information is still at the bottom of the specs.

This is still in development, but Google wants to separate browser and Chrome OS updates to extend your Chromebook’s life [Updated] Lacros, Chrome Browser for Chromebook, Gets Canary Channel. Those links will provide more information. Not quite there yet.

Google Support says the C738T family will receive updates until at least June 2022.
