Well, this might be a good e-mail / Facebook checker and extended display option. If you’re trying to use this for anything Android, you’ll be frustrated quickly. It only allows for two-touch, not multi-touch like most apps use nowadays. The hardware is very laggy for today’s games and media apps. It’s been all but abandoned by Acer with no designs to upgrade it past 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and no device drivers past Windows 7. Even the amazing community over at XDA-Developers has largely ignored this device.
TL;DR: Good choice for kids room or extended laptop display; not for much else.
Will the touch functionality work if using this as a display with windows via hdmi?
