You can get HDMI cables way cheaper than this, The only way this would be worth it if it was a nice HDMI standard like 1.4 which allows for 3d and such other “needed” features.(note woot does not list what standard this is)
But for generic cables the minimum you need is decent shielding and all the pins lol. Quick amazon search… You may be able to find cheaper somewhere else…
(http://www.amazon.com/High-Speed-HDMI-Cable-feet/dp/B001EUPNES ) $0.90 / 3ft hdmi “highspeed”
$2.95 shipping. = 2* $0.90 + $5.90 = $7.70
ONCE, just ONCE, I would like to see an optical cable instead of an HDMI cable for a good price on Woot. Why the endless parade of HDMI and never once have I seen an optical cable. Sigh. I guess I’ll go to Best Buy and fork over $60.
Easy to find online. Heck, here’s one under $3 on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Toslink-Digital-Optical-Audio-Cable/dp/B0002MQGOK
I’m sure you can find a better deal with 5 minutes of effort.

Isn’t it about time for the shirt.woot reckoning sale?
Not when your TV is mounted on top of a Fireplace (That’s not used, don’t worry) and all your devices are on a shelf that is in the corner.
alright mr fancy pants fireplace mount. MAYBE some of us live in an apartment and our landlord told us we couldnt mount our tv…
::sniff Sniff::
Maybe some of us dont have fancy “Corners” either…

Wow, should Optical cables really be that expensive? I just bought an 8ft. THX Certified cable at Fry’s for oly $24.95. Thought this was an ok deal, but now I am thinking maybe I did not get the best quality they have to offer after all?

Good if you have a small TV - only spec’d for up to 720p…
Not all HDMI cables are the same - you don’t need to pay $50 for a Monster, but you do need to check that specified bandwidth is adequate for 1080p and look for compatibility with HDMI 1.4a if you care about 3D, audio return, etc.
Where does it say only spec for 720p. I hope not just bought some for my 55’ Samsung for 1080p…

HDMI cables could be the new fashion… use one as a necklace, and cut up the other to make bracelets and a headband.

almost… yesterday it was like 30 minutes from now

Happened yesterday.
Maybe a Wine Detour, haven’t had one of those for a long while.
Or they could get creative and do a Sellout Detour.

That no one would give you a serious reply is sad.
It depends on your laptop and your TV. The laptop needs an HDMI out port, as most newer ones do, and your TV needs an available HDMI port in (or you will be doing cable swapping).
I hope this answer is useful and gets to you in time to make a decision on this woot.

I didn’t know there was still a market for optical audio…?
Meritline has 2-pack 5’ HDMI M/M Cable for $6.99 - $5 code MLCK6AT5UNL1 = $1.99 with free shipping. Not a great woot deal.
except that that coupon code expired by reaching its max usages…

Eh, with the spelling errors and such, we couldn’t be sure of a serious question or serious trolling. Either way, ignoring the problem usually solves it. In this case.
Edit: c-c-c-c-c-combo breaker!!!
